When Angels Fall

So I play DND and my main character is a Protect Aasimar Paladin and she’s a captain of a town guard. Now part of her backstory is that she didn’t know she was an Aasimar and that she fell from her heavenly plane after a war broke out. She lost her memory and has slowly been getting tidbits of her past. She has found her twin brother Nathaniel but he’s not what he was, and they both just found their birth parents as my character Cindry was adopted by a noble and his wife. So here’s a bit of the war scene from Cindry’s plane where she was also a captain.

“Captain we’re getting overthrown, there’s too many of them we must fall back” one of the soldiers said. Cindry didn’t like that negativity “Come now we can take them, we must we can’t let them win. This is for our freedom to move where ever we want.” The troops were falling behind and they were losing numbers quickly. Cindry was fighting as many as she could but even she was starting to think it’s useless. “Soldier where is Nathaniel?” Cindry asked and the soldier pointed over to a distance not far from her who was fighting and his wife Ambriel was by him…then it happened an arrow flew and Cindry could tell where it was going and tried to go to her best friend and brother, but sadly it was too late and the arrow hit Ambriel as she was defending Nathaniel “Nooooo!” It was echoed between the twins. “Cindry my love can’t you see this war is useless we must end it now!” Cindry looked to Raphael her husband and walked to him and got into his face despite him being taller than her “Raphael my love we mustn’t stop, I want to be free from this plane, I want to see what else is out there beyond this mountain.” Raphael didn’t want to he was on the side that they should stay “Then we are at an impasse, I love you Cindry but we are to stay here with our mother.” He pointed to the mountain where their mother god was looking down on them not looking happy. “Then I guess this is goodbye my love.” Cindry said and she kissed him hard and he kissed her back. They broke apart and Cindry’s other sibling Enni was at her side “Cindry, Nathaniel needs your help you must go to him.” Cindry nodded and placed a hand on her sister and rushed over to Nathaniel just as an opposing soldier was about to impale him with their sword. “Thank you sister.” Cindry nodded and placed a hand on his shoulder as well. Things were taking a turn for the worse when their mother god spoke loudly “ENOUGH MY CHILDREN! YOU ALL NEED TO BE GROUNDED” With that she clapped her hands ringing out over the plane and suddenly she was falling, she grabbed Nathaniel’s hand and held tightly but it was no use the impact of falling broke their hands apart “Noo, Nathaniel!” He tried to get to her but it was no use and they kept falling in opposite directions. Cindry fell so fast that when she hit the ground she passed out but she was a shining glow. Almost like a falling star.

I wanted this to look like she was flying getting ready to fly down and strike, Aasimars have wings.
